Baseball playoff changes become official
NEW YORK, May 17 (UPI) — Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig announced Thursday proposed changes to the sport’s playoff structure for this year had been approved by owners. In the first post-season alteration in 17 years, each league will have two wild-card playoff teams instead of one. Those two teams will meet in a one-game showdown.
